The popular Balkan Bashavel is back! The beginning of spring also means the spring Balkan Bashavel tour. A time when we will be bouncing together to the rhythms of Balkan beats, gypsy, reggae and world music.
Celebrate the arrival of spring with us with crazy dance creations to the rhythms of balkan beats, gypsy, reggae and world music. Your favourite Balkan Bashavel returns to Bratislava. It starts with the combo MALALATA + Buchajtramka (live) + Le Petit Nicolas.
MALALATA has been on the scene for 17 years and is synonymous with a unique fusion of balkan beats, gypsy music, reggae and world music. The pair of Slovak DJs fuse these rhythms into distinctive sets, which are complemented by an unbridled and infectiously energetic performance. Under the baton of MALALATA, clubs all over Europe, as well as in distant Japan and Mexico, have been pulsating. The duo has danced their show at the Colours of Ostrava, Pohoda, Grape, Uprising festivals and performed on the same stage with aces such as Parov Stelar, Goran Bregović, Shantel, Mahala Rai Banda or Fanfare Ciocarlia.
Spontaneously formed musical ensemble of friends mostly from Horehronie and Podpoľanie, which was formed at bonfires, on the streets and various events. Today the 14-member band draws mainly from Slovak folklore, mixing in other genres such as reggae, d’n’b, trance, gypsy or klezmer. Thus creating an interesting mix of catchy dance music in the style of world music. In 2022, the band released its first concert-studio album and hopes to embark on another one in the near future to make people’s lives more enjoyable with happy, bouncy music.
Talented Prague DJ and producer, serving up a royal serving of catchy tunes and punchy beats, featuring some of the best known cuts from the Balkan beats and global bass scene.
Entry to the event will be restricted to persons over 18 years of age.
Tickets will be on sale at the door for EUR 12 each.
