Concert of tenor Štefan Margita

Concert of a world opera star. Štefan Margita is one of the world-renowned singers, he has performed in the most famous opera houses. In the programme of the concert at the Slovak National Theatre, composed of famous opera, operetta and musical melodies, the outstanding soprano Simona Šaturová will perform as a guest. The Orchestra of the Slovak National Theatre Opera is conducted by Leoš Svárovský.

Štefan Margita is one of the world’s most renowned singers, he has performed in the most famous opera houses such as La Scala in Milan, Covent Garden in London and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and he often returns to the boards of the National Theatre in Prague. He has received worldwide acclaim for his roles in Janáček’s Katya Kabanova, From the House of the Dead and The Fate, in Alban Berg’s Vojcek, Britten’s Billy Budd, Wagner’s Das Rheingold and Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov. The tenor does not shy away from “excursions” into other musical waters either, as evidenced by several albums.
