Battle of Bratislava

All history enthusiasts are invited to Bratislava’s Janko Kráľ Garden on 27 September 2025, where the cultural and historical festival Battle of Bratislava will take place.

The main part of its programme will be a reconstruction of a military conflict from the first half of the 17th century, set in the environment of historical Hungary.

As always, you can look forward to a historical camp, demonstrations of period life, regimental demonstrations, a period parade through the Old Town, live music and, of course, the Battle of Bratislava – a reconstruction of the Baroque military clash of 1621.

The festival with the accompanying programme is open to visitors from 10:00 to 19:00. At 13:00 there will be a period parade of performers through the streets of the Old Town.

The *main part of the event* – the reconstruction of the battle *takes place at 16:00* and the accompanying programme lasts from 10:00.

Programme:

10:00 a.m. – Opening of the festival

11:30 a.m. – Weapons demonstrations in the camp

13:00 – Period parade through the Old Town

2:30 p.m. – Historical dances

3:00 p.m. – Period music

16:00 – Cannon Shots

16:10 – Reconstruction of the Battle of Bratislava

19:00 – Festival closing

The organizers of the event are the historical fencing groups* Banderium and** Manu Forti **from Bratislava*.

Entrance to the event is free.
