How about taking your other half to a proper party! Swinging Valentine’s Day brings the atmosphere of the famous May dance parties from the First Republic and will again be full of energetic hot jazz and swing music, dancing, goodies and, last but not least, positive esprit!
Live you will be able to hear songs played and sung by such legends as Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, Teddy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, F. K. Veselý, R. A. Dvorský, Viera Racková, Inka Zemánková and Jiřina Salačová.
Throughout the evening, authentic morning-jazz music performed by the FATS JAZZ BAND orchestra under the direction of Ladislav Fančovič will resound through the hall. You will be able to dance to the hottest swing tunes as well as tangos and foxtrots from our, then still Czechoslovak, waters.
There will also be a traditional vintage photo booth, bar and goodies.
The evening is designed for those who like to sit down to good music with a glass of wine, as well as for those whose feet can’t stay under a chair for long.
👠 You can learn the basic dance steps at a workshop led by the instructors from the B swing dance school.
📷 There will also be a traditional vintage photo booth by photographer Andrej Mann, from which you can take away a fond memory.
👗 Let’s dress in period clothes and create a magical atmosphere of the first half of the last century together. Dress code, of course, is not obligatory, but it will delight and complete the atmosphere.
