Among the top events in Bratislava in 2023 belongs definitely the concert Lords of the Sound – The Music of Hans Zimmer.

The new generation orchestra LORDS OF THE SOUND returns to Slovakia with the programme “The Music of Hans Zimmer ”

The performance of LORDS OF THE SOUND is not just an ordinary concert, it is a real show!

Tunes from “Spider-Man 2”, “The Dark Knight”, “The Lone Ranger”, “Interstellar”, “Sherlock Holmes”, “Man of Steel”, “Pearl Harbor”, “Gladiator”, “Inception”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Ghost”, “Dune”, “Wonder Woman”, “The Lion King” – these are all hits by Hans Zimmer performed by the LORDS OF THE SOUND orchestra!

Hans Zimmer is a German film music composer who gained popularity after the release of the cult film Rain Man. “When composing the music for Rain Man, I kept thinking: don’t try to drown out the characters, don’t push yourself into the foreground. The main character Raymond doesn’t really understand where he is. He sees the world differently than we do… What about creating music for a world that only exists in his head?” Hans Zimmer recalls.

This work marked a real breakthrough in his career – Zimmer was nominated for an Oscar. The best directors in Hollywood lined up to work with him. And Hans gave himself completely to the work. He often composed music for two or three films at the same time. The Disney studio was so impressed by his music that they approached him to compose the soundtrack for the animated film The Lion King.

The soundtrack of the film brought the composer three very prestigious awards – an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy. And Zimmer went on to win many awards later on, becoming truly the best of the best in Hollywood. Rarely is an Oscars ceremony without a Hans Zimmer nomination.
