Salsa Challenge Cup

On April 18, a truly special dance event arrives in Budapest: the Salsa Challenge Cup, a spectacular salsa marathon competition held for the first time in Hungary. After the excitement of the competition, the evening continues with a lively salsa party lasting until late at night.

The event takes place at the Csokonai Event Hall, hosting both the competition and the party.

The program begins with the competition, where dancers test their endurance and skills through continuous dancing. Spectators can follow the different stages, transitions and key moments while cheering for the participants.

Program:

18:45 Doors open for spectators
19:00 Group warm-up
19:15 Start

19:15–20:20 First 60-minute block (with short breaks), half marathon finish and award ceremony
20:20–20:30 Break
20:30–21:35 Second 60-minute block, marathon and relay categories finish, award ceremony

Later in the evening, the atmosphere shifts into a vibrant dance party:

21:45 Doors open for party guests
22:00–02:00 Salsa party

The music selection will feature 70% salsa and 30% bachata, cha-cha-cha and West Coast Swing, with sets by Hexmex. The night will also include guided rueda sessions, ladies’ choice dances, and a special performance by the Luna Koreo Team titled “Glitter after Work”.

Ticket information:

Spectator ticket: 2,000 HUF (pre-sale only until April 16) – valid for the competition
Party ticket: 3,800–4,500 HUF – valid for the party (22:00–02:00)
Combo ticket: 5,000 HUF – includes both competition and party

Please note that during the competition only contestants are allowed on the dance floor; spectators can watch from seated areas.

A buffet will be available on-site for refreshments and breaks between dancing.
