Csinibaba Music Festival

After three nearly sold-out shows, the Csinibaba Dance Song Festival returns to the stage of Budapest Park on May 28, 2026 – this time taking the audience on a vibrant journey from the 1980s to the mid-1990s.

The era of political transition brought an exciting and liberating cultural shift: disco gave way to synthpop, punk and alternative rock emerged, and electronic music exploded onto the scene. This dynamic and diverse period is brought to life through both sound and visuals in a unique stage production.

One of the highlights of the show is the collaboration between actors of the Katona József Theatre and well-known singers familiar from Budapest Park, all performing together with a full live orchestra. The musical accompaniment is provided by the Nart Orchestra Big Band led by Ádám Meggyes, expanded with brass and string sections, while choreography and movement are brought to life by the dancers of the Duda Éva Company.

Futuristic, slightly sci-fi-inspired stage design, refreshed sound, spectacular visuals and plenty of surprises make this an evening where standing still is simply not an option.
