Zugló Poetry Picnic

To celebrate Poetry Day, a full day of outdoor programs will take place at the József Attila memorial plaque. The event features stage performances, poetry readings, slam poetry and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

Stage program:

11:00–11:45 Musical puppet folk tales
11:45–12:15 Poetry selection by Parnasszus Kommandó
12:15–13:00 Illusion show by Kiss V. Balázs
14:00 Wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial plaque
14:10–15:15 Poetry recitals by local children
15:20–15:35 Slam poetry by Mátyás Burka
15:35–16:00 Pi Slam Club performance
16:45–18:00 József Attila Passion by Kóda Company
18:00–19:00 Concert by Kávészünet band

The host of the event is István Turczi.

Guided tour inside the Mozgásjavító building (11:00–13:00, registration required)
Walking tour “In the footsteps of József Attila” (14:30–15:30, registration required)
“Quiet Waste” – contemporary poetry session (16:00–16:45)

Family-friendly activities will run throughout the day, including face painting, glitter tattoos, hair braiding, traditional wooden games, craft workshops, book stands and local history presentations. A buffet will also be available on-site.
