The Art Advent Christmas & Craft Market on Karlsplatz begins on November 21, 2025 and enchants Karlsplatz in front of Karlskirche with a creative, artistic Christmas atmosphere. At this market, visitors can expect high-quality handicraft products – from handmade jewelry and ceramics to decorative Christmas objects, all made with love and skill.
A special highlight is the market’s completely organic-certified gastronomy: all food stalls use sustainable, organic ingredients, creating an environmentally conscious culinary experience that is rarely found at other Christmas markets. There are also “muscle-powered rides”, hand-operated carousels or floats that are nostalgic and imaginative.
The children’s program is particularly lovingly designed: There is a straw landscape through which children can move, a “trolley express”, a carousel made from collected and reused materials (carousel of found objects) and barrel organ music by Werkelmann, which provides nostalgic and contemplative moments.
Food is provided by stands with organic culinary delicacies: Visitors can enjoy organic mulled wine, punch, vegetarian and vegan treats. The whole thing is framed by atmospheric Christmas lighting and the historic backdrop of St. Charles Church, which gives the market a very special, romantic charm.
