Vienna Security Festival

A weekend full of action, information, and security at Rathausplatz. On October 25 and 26, 2025, Vienna’s Rathausplatz will once again be transformed into an exciting center of security.

At the Vienna Security Festival, numerous emergency organizations will present themselves and impressively demonstrate how rescue, protection, and assistance work in Austria. The event traditionally takes place around the Austrian national holiday (October 26) and is one of the city’s largest free family events.

At the Security Festival, visitors can experience firsthand how the fire department, police, rescue services, the Austrian Armed Forces, the Red Cross, civil defense, and many other organizations work.

In addition to spectacular operational demonstrations, there will be:

– interactive stations and hands-on activities,
– insights into emergency vehicles and specialized equipment,
– children’s games, safety quizzes, first aid workshops,
– advice and information on prevention and disaster preparedness.
