On August 10, the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team will once again host the Keresztúri Running Race in Budapest. The start and finish lines are located at Régivám köz 2., inside the premises of Madal Bal Kft., and the route leads runners into the peaceful trails of the Keresztúri Forest — a flat, easy-to-run woodland path ideal for runners of all levels.
Each distance is run on the same 5.274 km loop. Runners complete 1 lap for 5.2 km, 2 laps for 10.5 km, 4 laps for a half marathon, and 8 laps for a full marathon. There’s also a unique alternative: the “Yes, I can!” format, perfect for more relaxed runners. This option allows you to start a new lap every hour with a 60-minute time limit for each.
All races begin at 8:00 AM, and are held regardless of weather conditions. The course will be marked and supported throughout, but as it’s in a public forest, participants are asked to be mindful of other visitors.
Time limits:
Marathon: 6 hours
31.6 km (6 laps): 4 hours
Half marathon: 3 hours
10.5 km: 2 hours
5.2 km: 1 hour
“Yes, I can!”: 60 minutes per lap
Entry fees vary depending on distance and registration time. Early bird registration (until January 22, 2025) offers the best prices, followed by standard pricing until July 20, and last-minute entries on-site until race day. Marathon entries are available for individuals or teams (2–4 people). The “Yes, I can!” run is a separate category for those less interested in competition.
What’s included:
Unique finisher’s medal for all participants
Digital certificate and finish line video
Category and overall winners receive prizes
Refreshments include water, isotonic drinks, fruit, salty snacks, and energy supplies
Changing rooms, showers, and bag storage available on site
Bib pickup: 6:30–7:30 AM on race day
Maximum participants: 300 — early registration is strongly encouraged!
Technical race shirts (white or burgundy with logo) are not included in the race package but can be ordered separately. Orders after the deadline are subject to an extra fee.
Date and time: Sunday, August 10, 2025 – 8:00 AM
Location: Régivám köz 2., Budapest / Keresztúri Forest
Entry fee: 6,900–15,500 HUF (individual), 17,900–42,000 HUF (teams), depending on distance and registration period
