Night of Choirs

On Saturday, June 14, the streets of Budapest’s Palace District will once again come alive with song as the 13th Night of Choirs, Hungary’s largest open-air amateur choir festival, brings voices together under the summer sky. The event celebrates the idea that the joy of singing belongs to everyone—anytime, anywhere.

Choirs from across Hungary and beyond will perform concerts in some of the most atmospheric venues of the city center: churches, courtyards, galleries, and outdoor stages—eight unique locations hosting performances simultaneously. Throughout the evening, visitors may even be surprised by spontaneous street performances as choirs pop up with unexpected bursts of harmony.

The program is framed by two signature community events: the Singing Square, where choirs introduce themselves in short performances to kick off the night, and the Final Community Singing, inviting performers, organizers, and audiences to raise their voices together and experience the unifying power of music.

The Night of Choirs is a true celebration of vocal music—offering a rich variety of genres, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and a deep sense of community, making it a memorable event for all ages.
