Saint Lucia at the Troja Castle

On December 13 and 14, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Troja Castle will become a breathtaking center of art and light effects. Signal Festival, in collaboration with the Prague City Gallery (GHMP), invites visitors to an unforgettable pre-Christmas experience.

Main Program
The highlight of the event will be a stunning videomapping display that will illuminate the majestic façade of Troja Castle. This visual masterpiece is crafted by renowned artist Ondřej Rakušan in collaboration with designers David Böhm and Jiří Franta. The experience will be further enhanced by a musical composition from Aid Kid, creating an atmospheric celebration of Advent. The event honors the Feast of Saint Lucy, traditionally associated with the longest night of the year, blending historical heritage with contemporary art.

Underground Gallery Zone
In addition to the main installation, visitors will have access to the castle’s underground area, where the Prague City Gallery will showcase light installations from its collections. This rarely accessible gallery space offers a unique opportunity to witness modern art in contrast to the baroque architecture of the castle.
