The Prague Botanical Garden invites visitors to unique evening tours titled The Jungle That Doesn’t Sleep, taking place in the Fata Morgana tropical greenhouse from November 15 to December 14, 2024. Every Friday and Saturday, visitors can experience the magical atmosphere of the nocturnal rainforest at selected times from 5:10 PM to 7:15 PM.
This experience allows guests to visit the greenhouse at a time when tropical plants come to life in a completely different light. During the approximately hour-long tour, you can listen to the sounds of the jungle, with the croaks of tiny tropical frogs and the enchanting fragrance of night-blooming plants. Visitors will journey through various climate zones within the greenhouse, where temperature and humidity simulate tropical and subtropical conditions. Under the guidance of a tour leader and with the aid of flashlight beams, participants can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the darkened rainforest.
Practical Information and Admission
The tours are intended mainly for adults and older children. Admission costs 250 CZK for adults and 150 CZK for children aged 3-15 and students up to 26 with a valid student ID. Children under 3 can enter for free. Each tour is limited to 18 people, and for safety reasons, strollers are not allowed.
Reservations and Visitor Instructions
Due to high demand, advance reservation via the botanical garden’s website is required. The reservation is confirmed upon purchasing a non-refundable, non-transferable online ticket. To aid visitors in navigating the garden grounds—where the bridge passage is closed during evening tours—the botanical garden will provide parking and access details in the confirmation email.
