Inspired by the story of the heroes of Abbé Prévost’s novel and choreographed by the great Sir Kenneth MacMillan, this magnificent dramatic epic is about temptation, the will to live, love and suffering.
This dance-theatre fresco about the forms and pitfalls of love, presented in its Slovak premiere, offers a fascinating insight into life in hedonistic Paris.
The choreography, interwoven with spectacular choral dances and beautiful love duets, is lightly carried on the melodies of Massenet’s music. What price will the capricious heroine Manon have to pay, torn between her desire for a life of affluence and her devotion to her lover?
