Pancake Picnic

In mid-May, the promenade next to Allee fills up again with food and people as the Buda Pancake Picnic returns between May 15–17, 2026 at the Kőrösy József Street Bazaar. The focus is simple: pancakes in as many forms as possible.

Pancakes in every form

This isn’t just about the classic jam-filled version. You’ll find American-style pancakes, layered creations, creative fillings, as well as savory and even fried variations. Walking through the stands, you’ll come across both familiar and more unusual, internationally inspired flavors.

There are also options for different diets, including gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan choices.

More than just pancakes

Even though pancakes are the main attraction, the overall vibe is closer to a street food festival. Waffles, donuts and chimney cakes are also part of the lineup, alongside savory dishes and artisan food products. Drinks include beer, wine and pálinka.

Easy, walk-around atmosphere

This is the kind of event where you take your time: walk around, try a few things, stop where something catches your eye. You can drop by for a quick bite or spend a whole afternoon here.
