The Gutenstein alps with their iconic John’s Creek Canyon (Johannesbachklamm) are located only 1.5 hours South of Vienna. You definitely should have been there at least once. It’s like visiting a mini-version of Switzerland, complete with grazing cows and snow-covered ridges afar.
