Jewelry Week

Discover the fascinating world of contemporary jewelry at Budapest Jewelry Week! From October 16–22, Budapest will host this week-long event for the 11th time, celebrating artistic jewelry, innovative designs, and exciting uses of materials.

Contemporary art jewelry is more than just a beautiful accessory: it is a wearable work of art that conveys ideas, experiments with shapes, colors, and materials, and explores the boundaries between fine art, applied arts, and design. This year’s central theme is “Continuity,” which will be reflected in many of the artworks and exhibitions.

Throughout the event, visitors can discover more than 30 exhibitions featuring works by over 200 artists from more than 15 countries at various venues across Budapest, particularly around Bartók Béla Road. The exhibitions are free to visit, and the program also includes workshops, discussions, and a variety of multicultural events. The patron of the 2026 edition is literary expert Anna Juhász.

Featured events

October 15 – “Évgyűrűk” (Rings of Time), a poetry-theatre jewelry show: The program opens with a special multidisciplinary evening at the theatre hall of Három Holló. Poems by Krisztina Tóth will be performed by Marcell Szántó and the poet herself, while jewelry inspired by the poems takes to the runway.

Tuesday, October 20 – Professional talks and interactive events: Starting at 11:00 AM, visitors can attend presentations, book launches, and roundtable discussions at B29 Youth Community Space. In the late afternoon, interactive events connected to the “Conscious Tuesdays” program series will also take place. Admission is free.

October 22 – Award ceremony and closing event: The week concludes with a festive closing event at Dugattyús, where the most outstanding exhibitors and exhibitions will receive awards.
