A Christmas Carol – The Fairytale Musical based on Charles Dickens is a family show that transports the audience into the magical Christmas atmosphere of Victorian London.

This musical, based on the classic story by Charles Dickens, tells the story of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by three ghosts on the night before Christmas. The ghosts lead him on a journey through his life – past, present and possible future – and show him the true meaning of Christmas, love and humanity.

The performance combines singing, music, dancing, acting and elaborate costumes, creating a lively and captivating atmosphere that appeals to children and adults alike. It is suitable for families with children aged six and over, as the story is more complex and requires concentration. The duration of the musical, including intermission, makes for an intense and engaging experience, so it is recommended to arrive early. In 2025, the musical will be performed at two venues in Vienna.

It will take place in the MuseumsQuartier Wien – Hall E from December 12 to 21, with performances running on different days and times. The second version, as part of the Globe Wien / Marx Halle production, will take place on 14 December at 1:30 p.m. “A Christmas Story” is not only a visually and musically impressive musical, but also a moving story about change, gratitude and hope.
