The famous Vienna Ice Dream takes place here every year, with only part of the ice rink initially open in the run-up to Christmas, which gradually expands once the Christmas markets are over.

Even the partially open area makes for a great ice skating experience right in the heart of Vienna. In addition to ice skating, it is also worth visiting the Christmas markets directly on Rathausplatz, which are in full swing during the pre-Christmas period.

The stalls offer a wide selection of Christmas gifts, handmade decorations, punch, traditional baked goods and regional specialties. Lights, music and the smell of punch create a typical pre-Christmas atmosphere that perfectly complements the skating experience. During the pre-Christmas weekends, you can skate on the smaller ice rink, while the full ice rink only opens after the Christmas markets have closed. There is skate rental on site, lockable lockers and the opportunity to play curling on partial areas.
