Schloss Hof Christmas Market

The Christmas market at Schloss Hof offers magical pre-Christmas experiences in a beautiful Baroque setting. The market takes place on weekends from November 15 to December 21, 2025, as well as on December 8. The market is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Visitors can expect a wide range of traditional handicrafts, Christmas decorations, and original gifts. They can also sample typical Christmas delicacies and warm up with mulled wine or other treats. There is a varied program for families: children can take part in craft workshops, visit the live nativity scene, go pony riding, or explore the miniature railway.

New this year are light installations and illuminated figures that lend the market a magical atmosphere. In the arcade courtyard, trumpet ensembles and choirs perform Christmas carols, perfectly rounding off the festive mood.

During the market, there is a lively nativity scene on the castle grounds, where animals contribute to the Christmas backdrop. In the children’s and family area, children can make their own Christmas gifts, while historical and artistically designed nativity scenes are on display in the Sala Terrena.

For those who would also like to explore the historic rooms of the palace, guided tours are offered, during which the state rooms and the Christmas exhibition can be visited. Children have the opportunity to write their wishes to the Christ Child in a special writing room.

For visitors from Vienna, there is a shuttle bus directly to Schloss Hof. Admission costs €11 for adults and €5.50 for children aged 6 and over. Those who would also like to visit the palace can purchase a location ticket for €24 (adults) or €13.50 (children aged 6–18).
