The Manner Christkindl Tram is a historic nostalgic streetcar in Manner’s typical pink color that runs through Vienna during the Advent season.
It usually starts at Karlsplatz, in front of the Otto Wagner Stadtbahn pavilion, and travels a circular route along the outer ring road and the quay before returning to Karlsplatz. During the ride, the Christkind’s helpers hand out Manner sweets to the passengers. The ride is free to the public and seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The Christkindl Tram runs on the first four Advent weekends as well as on the opening day of the Christkindlmarkt. The exact dates in 2025 are:

The departure times from Karlsplatz are typically 13:10, 14:00, 14:50, 15:40, 16:30 and 17:20. The ride is ideal for families with children who want to enjoy the sweet surprises, but also for tourists who want to experience Vienna’s Christmas atmosphere from a special perspective. Lovers of historic transport and nostalgia will also get their money’s worth, as the streetcar has a traditional design.
