Gürtel Nightwalk Vienna

An unforgettable night transforms Vienna’s Gürtel into the city’s longest open-air music mile. On Saturday, August 30, 2025, bars and venues along the Gürtel – from Lerchenfelder Gürtel to Hernalser Gürtel – will open their doors for the legendary Gürtel Nightwalk, a one-day cultural festival featuring live music, DJ sets, art, and street life.

Over 30 acts on four open-air stages will provide a musical spectrum ranging from ska, samba, rock, and reggae to singer-songwriters and indie pop. Music will resonate from venues such as the Main Library, Chelsea, Wienstation, Fania Live, Loop & Gürtelbräu, Rhiz, B72, Café Carina, Café Concerto, and many others. From traditional pubs to improvised street stages, the Gürtel pulsates well into the night.

But the Gürtel Nightwalk is more than just a concert evening: It celebrates community and urban culture. Some locations offer art installations, film screenings, or design booths – and everywhere you’ll find spontaneous street parties and unplanned encounters under the illuminated tram arches.

Lineup highlights: Local favorites and exciting newcomers from a wide range of genres – many of them performing live on the street.

Whether you’re hopping from bar to bar, dancing under the arches, or simply soaking up the atmosphere – this spontaneous festival showcases Vienna at its most creative and diverse.
