SLASH 1/2 – Slashfilmfest mini version! From 9 to 11 May, we will conjure up a bubbling, hissing, stubborn, bloody, mystical, crazy roundelay of fantastic film highlights for you, which will fill our three venues – Gartenbaukino (opening), Filmcasino and METRO Kinokulturhaus – with a fabulous brew of All Things Fantastique.
From horror to science fiction, from award-winning productions to insane splatter orgies, from highly anticipated genre novelties to celebrated classics, from fidgety to humorous, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re a die-hard splatter fan or more of a Team Harefoot.
In addition to the film programme, you can also look forward to iconic accompanying events inside and outside the cinemas. Because that’s exactly what SLASH wants to invite you to. The festival is a call to you to come to the cinema and exchange ideas with filmmakers and the audience, to be provoked and shocked by the titles shown and to celebrate Fantastic Film – in real locations with their own character, in cinema halls and foyers that are so wonderfully atmospheric and unique that no virtual film experience could ever hold a candle to them. ?
