Ida Sand is known for her personal interpretations of other people’s music, not least the acclaimed Neil Young tribute ‘Young at Heart’.
She has released six albums on the German label ACT (Naxos). Her latest album Do You Hear Me Now? (2021) is her most personal production, as she wrote all the lyrics and music. Stylistically, her sound is characterized by a love of the rich soil at the intersection of jazz, blues, soul and gospel, while the songwriting process was inspired by role models such as Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Paul Simon.
