Uje Brandelius at Fasching

– A Christmas show by and with Uje Brandelius –

Uje Brandelius has been playing political punk funk with his band Doktor Kosmos for over thirty years. He’s done radio, written children’s books and been on stage. He has been showered with Guldbagg awards for his movie “Spring, Uje, spring”. And he has been in Mello.

The only thing he has not done is a Christmas show. This will now be rectified for a few evenings in November 2024. Under the title “Våra minst Älskade Julsånger” (Our Least Beloved Christmas Songs), he will be on stage at Fasching with a brand new band, hand-picked for the evening to spread the greatest possible Christmas spirit. How it will sound, no one knows. He talks about influences such as Engelbert Humperdinck and Bruno K Öijer. But that’s just idle chatter so far. It will probably be as usual when Uje is on stage: forgotten lyrics and far too long interludes. But also funny, moving, personal and political.
