Chris Isaak

He has transformed the traditional, atmospheric rockabilly into a contemporary popular culture treasure. In doing so, he has also carried on the legacy of greats like Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley, dressing their legacy in a modern garb adorned with first-rate songs. On August 17, Chris Isaak finally returns to Stockholm. It will be his first appearance in Sweden in twelve years.

With a career spanning almost four decades, Chris Isaak has not only given us 13 acclaimed albums and unforgettable hits such as the poignant “Wicked Game”, the atmospheric “Blue Hotel” and the fateful “Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing”. He’s also made his mark on the world of film and TV with roles in ‘Silence of the Lambs’ and guest appearances on ‘Friends’ and ‘Melrose Place’, as well as writing soundtracks for ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, ‘True Romance’ and ‘Wild at Heart’.

Chris Isaak is simply an icon. With one foot in the nostalgic, American folk tradition and the other firmly rooted in the present, he has been a guarantee of quality throughout his long career and has made his mark far beyond the music scene. His first appearance in Sweden in twelve years will be an emotional masterclass that should not be missed.
