Tindersticks

Every time the Nottingham nocturnal romantics have been away for a few years, the need for them arises. Here we are now, at a time when we really need Stuart Staple’s characteristically vibrant baritone, marked by nicotine and overturned circadian rhythm, as weathered as it is beautiful, impossible to ignore.

And then there’s the music, with its sensitive bursts, multifaceted instrumentation and low-intensity drama whipping around just behind. For over thirty years, Tindersticks have created their own little world. They have sung about dirt, destructiveness, lust, bars and death, but where such things in the hands of others easily border on the sunny, there is always something polite, even sophisticated, about Tindersticks’ recordings and performances.

The latest album Distractions, the thirteenth since its formation in 1991, was released in 2021. During the year, new music will come from the band, and in connection with that we can present four dates in Scandinavia.
