The magical phenomenon Alcest returns to Sweden with their new album “Les Chants de l’Aurore” released via Nuclear Blast. The first single “L’Envol” from the upcoming album is out now.
Alcest is centered around multi-instrumentalist and musical maverick Stéphane “Neige” Paut. What started out as so-called blackgaze – a mix of black metal and shoegaze – has slowly been blended with a more dreamy atmosphere.
And dreamy it is, to say the least. Neige takes you on a post-rock and overwhelming journey through his dreams, together with radar partner and drummer Jean “Winterhalter” Deflandre.
What Alcest offers is nothing less than a step into a completely different world. Otherworldly. Transcendent. Magical.
