Who would have thought that Stockholm would welcome a Mongolian heavy metal group so soon… It has not been that long since The HU got very popular on Youtube but we are very proud to present this awesome band in Sweden!

The HU came out of nowhere and became one of the most unexpected viral hits of 2018. Since then, they’ve topped the Billboard charts, played the major festival Coachella and been awarded the highest honour – Order of Genghis Khan – back home in Mongolia. On the spur of the moment, they’ve also performed three sold-out blockbuster concerts in Sweden. This autumn, Mongolia’s biggest rock export returns to Sweden.

The HU was formed in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar in 2016. Armed with traditional Mongolian instruments such as Morin Khuur (two-stringed horse-head fiddle), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar) and Tumur Khuur (mungiga), and guided by heavy throat singing, they let the past meet the present.

In The HU, Mongolia’s cultural heritage intersects with Western rock and heavy metal. They call the result Hunnu Rock. But really, it’s something as simple as a musical jaw-dropper that’s impossible to resist.
