WATAIN + ABBATH

WATAIN returns with the album “The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain” (out 29th April via Nuclear Blast) and in October they take the stage at Fållan with all that it entails. With them on their then ongoing “Chariots of Fire” European tour they have great company to say the very least; Abbath, Tribulation and BØLZER.

WATAIN is a nearly 30 years old Swedish black metal band. The band is known for their aesthetics – candles, pyrotechnics and rituals. With 6 full albums, 3 live albums and lots of demos, they are popular in the black metal underground music scene.

ABBATH on the other hand hails from Norway and is relatively new compared to WATAIN. However, they already made a great name for themselves in the scene of black metal music.

Tribulation is a Swedish heavy metal band formed in 2005. Although the band is known for its heavy metal vibe, they are known to delve into depths of black metal, occult rock, death metal, psychedelic rock and gothic rock.

BØLZER hailing from Switzerland, this band has made a mark for itself already. With their roots layed out in blackened death metal or extreme metal, their EP “Aura” was described as one of the best metal releases of 2013.
