Senegal’s Orchestra Baobab celebrates 50 years as a band and embarks on an exclusive tour. Do not miss the chance to experience the mythical group when it visits the Stockholm Concert Hall. Orchestra Baobab was formed in 1970 to play at the inauguration of the later famous society club “Baobab Club” in Dakar. By mixing Afro-Cuban rhythms, Congolese rumba and High Life, the group started a musical renaissance in the Dakar of the 1970s and made the Senegalese capital one of the world’s liveliest music cities.
