To say that Iggy Pop is one of the greatest and most groundbreaking artists of all time is an understatement. As a musician, singer, songwriter and producer, Iggy Pop has been a cultural phenomenon since the 1960s – and shows no signs of slowing down, quite the contrary. Today, we are extremely proud to present “The Godfather of Punk” LIVE at Filadelfia in Stockholm – Friday 10 June 2022!

There’s a reason Iggy Pop is considered the Godfather of Punk. Every punk band from the past to the present has either consciously or unconsciously borrowed from Iggy Pop and his 60s/70s band The Stooges.

Often regarded as one of the most dynamic live performers of all time, Iggy Pop created the template for both 70s punk and 90s grunge and has built a career cherished by accolades with a cult-like following of fans worldwide. Many have Iggy Pop on their bucket list when it comes to live concerts – fans from all generations can attest that the spot is justified.

Iggy Pop’s discography is absolutely incredible. From The Stooges self-titled debut from 1969, Funhouse from 1970, Raw Power from 1973 and numerous classic solo albums such as Lust For Life, The Idiot, New Values, Zombie Birdhouse, Blah Blah Blah, Brick by Brick, American Caesar and more recently: Skull Ring, Préliminaires and Après. His first two classic solo albums were famously written and produced with David Bowie – a collaboration long touted as the most epic ever.

In 2010, Iggy Pop and The Stooges were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2020, Iggy Pop received a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award.

Iggy Pop made a long-awaited return to music with the solo album Post Pop Depression, released in 2016 – the result of a collaboration between Iggy Pop and Josh Homme (the multi-talented songwriter, musician and founder of Queens Of The Stone Age, among others) that created an album that fits perfectly into Iggy Pop’s amazing discography.

His latest album FREE, from 2019, is a contemplative and reflective album with musical contributions from New York-based artist Leron Thomas and Sarah Lipstate (aka. Noveller). It’s an album that explores more jazz-oriented genres and is another given Iggy Pop classic!

We can’t wait to see the groundbreaking pioneer and superstar Iggy Pop – live in Sweden! An artist who has done it all and usually been the first to do it. He sums it up best himself:

“A lot of what I did was: if you’re not gonna do it, I’ll do it for ya, I’ll do it first.”
