Fringe Festival Prague

From May 26 to 31, 2025, the 24th edition of the Prague Fringe Festival will take place in Prague 1, specifically in the Malá Strana district – a unique showcase of English-language theatre that has become a staple on the cultural map of the capital.

This festival is known for its diverse programming and informal atmosphere, combining theatre, comedy, music, and entertainment in intimate venues across the historic center of Prague.

Every year at the end of May, Malá Strana venues such as Divadlo Inspirace, A Studio Rubín, the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague, or Café Club Míšeňská come alive with dozens of artists from around the world who bring original English-language performances. The festival offers Czech audiences the opportunity to experience contemporary international theatre without leaving the country, and brings foreign visitors closer to the unique genius loci of Prague’s theatrical spaces.

Prague Fringe builds on the tradition of the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which began in Scotland in 1947 and remains the world’s largest arts festival to this day. Since 2002, the Prague version has become a valued platform for independent creators and attracts audiences seeking unconventional experiences and live engagement with theatre.
