Summer Kickoff Festival

The Óbuda Summer festival series kicks off this year at a brand-new venue: Óbuda Bay on Hajógyári Island. This free two-day event combines live music, family-friendly activities and riverside summer vibes in a scenic location along the Danube.

The concert lineup features some well-known Hungarian performers. Saturday’s program includes Kacaj, Besh o droM and Vad Fruttik, while Sunday brings performances by Andrea Szulák and the Studio 11 Orchestra, Swing à la Django featuring Bálint Gájer, and Budapest Bár with its singers.

Families will find plenty to enjoy at the Óbudai Grund activity area, which offers free children’s programs throughout the weekend. Visitors can take part in arts and crafts sessions, skill games, sports activities and obstacle courses, while younger guests can enjoy attractions such as a pirate ship and a specially designed multifunctional sports field. The HopCity inflatable park is available with a separate ticket.

Food trucks, street food vendors and refreshing drinks will also be available on-site, making it easy to spend an entire summer day by the river.
