Yoga Festival

On June 21, an all-day yoga event awaits enthusiasts at Margaret Island, where nature, movement, and physical and mental rejuvenation take center stage. Participation in all programs is free, and no prior registration is required.

The Summer Solstice Yoga Festival is organized by the Bhaktivedanta Theological College, the Jógapont Lifestyle Portal, and the Bhaktivedanta Yoga Studios. The event aims to provide participants with quality time outdoors, where they can try different styles of yoga, get acquainted with body-conscious movement practices, and relax in the proximity of nature.

The program starts at 9:00 AM and runs until 6:00 PM. The Bhaktivedanta College offers three guided sessions: at 10:00 AM, Péter Szennay leads a dynamic, strengthening Hatha yoga class; at 11:00 AM, Petra Sófalvi guides a spinal mobility practice; and at 12:00 PM, Janka Pék’s session activates the entire body. Everyone is welcome to join these classes, and all that’s needed is a yoga mat and comfortable clothing.

The festival takes place on the well-known green meadow behind the Hármas Büfé on Margaret Island. Public restrooms and dining options are available nearby, making it easy to plan a full day of relaxation. The organizers have also designated a rain date in case of bad weather: if needed, the programs will be held on Sunday, June 22.
