Night of Movement

A night when the lights of Budapest meet the joy of movement – this is the Night of Movement, where the heart of the city transforms into one massive open-air sports arena. On the evening of June 13, starting at 7:30 PM, Heroes’ Square and the entire City Park (Városliget) will become a giant playground of sports and shared experiences for people of all ages and fitness levels.

As the sun sets, the energy at Heroes’ Square begins to rise: lively zumba and fitness sessions, hot Latin dance classes, and enthusiastic instructors will get the crowd moving and shaking. For those seeking peace and flow, relaxing yoga sessions under the trees of the City Park offer a serene escape under the stars.

Adventurers can head to the City Park Lake to try dragon boating and stand-up paddleboarding, while others can test their skills on a giant bouldering wall, conquer obstacle courses, play badminton until dawn, or go for a night roller-skating ride across downtown Budapest. Want to see the city from a new perspective? Take a guided walking tour through the Liget and enjoy the nighttime panorama from the rooftop of the Museum of Ethnography.

This event isn’t just about movement – it’s about community. Families, friends, athletes, amateurs, and professionals come together to move, laugh, learn, and explore new sports and fitness activities. Several national sports associations and coaches will be present, offering demos, tips, and inspiration throughout the night.
