Józsefváros 8fest

On Saturday, June 21, 8Feszt, Józsefváros’ vibrant summer community festival, returns—where tradition meets contemporary pop culture. All programs are free of charge, making the event fully accessible to everyone.

Organized by Rendezvény8 and the Józsefváros Municipality, the festival offers a full afternoon of diverse stage performances and engaging activities. The music lineup kicks off at 1:00 PM with Panna-Bál Ensemble, followed by Ternipe, and then the Felvidéki Jazz Land band. The evening concludes with a performance by Herceg, whose energetic sound resonates especially with younger audiences.

Between musical acts, visitors can enjoy a spectacular stilt-walking show by Alkalmi Csibészek, and the Juggler’s Playhouse offers fun and movement for all age groups. Elsewhere in the square, a variety of craft and community activities will take place simultaneously: flower crown making, bead threading, jewelry making, folk games, face painting, wooden playgrounds, and badminton, supported by the Budapest Badminton Association. The Netmentő Foundation will also be present with an awareness program on how to balance digital life with real-world presence.
