Galaxy Festival

Ever dreamed of piloting the Millennium Falcon, wielding a lightsaber, or joining an elite team of space commandos? At the Galaxy Festival, those dreams come to life for a day.

One of Hungary’s most unique sci-fi and geek community events returns in 2026, once again bringing together the worlds of films, TV series, video games, and comic books in a single venue. The Galaxy Festival offers visitors the chance not only to celebrate their favorite fictional universes but to become part of them through immersive experiences and interactive activities.

This year’s event once again takes place at the Ferencváros Cultural Centre, welcoming families, first-time visitors, dedicated fans, and passionate cosplayers alike.

From the moment guests step inside, they are immersed in a spectacular sci-fi atmosphere filled with themed decorations, interactive exhibitions, eye-catching photo spots, costumed characters, gaming experiences, and iconic fictional worlds. Fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, Predator, Avatar, Back to the Future, Rick and Morty, The Terminator, Dune, Warhammer, Ghostbusters, and many other legendary franchises will find plenty to explore.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including interactive presentations, cosplay experiences, gaming zones, a geek marketplace, rare collectibles, scale models, board games, and fan-made creations. Organizers encourage everyone to become more than just spectators by joining the adventure as a Jedi Knight, Sith warrior, Mandalorian bounty hunter, Starfleet officer, or any other character from a distant galaxy.

The festival also features family-friendly activities and community events, ensuring that visitors of all ages—from young children to lifelong science fiction enthusiasts—will discover something exciting. As always, the Galaxy Festival aims to bring together people who share a passion for storytelling, world-building, creativity, and the magic of fantastic universes.

The Galaxy Festival is the perfect destination for anyone looking to escape everyday life and spend a day inside the worlds of their favorite films, series, games, and comics. It’s a place where imagination comes to life, fans connect, and everyone gets the chance to become a space adventurer.
