In August, a magical philharmonic concert awaits classical music lovers in the heart of Budapest! The renowned orchestra will offer an unforgettable evening with its stunning performances and classical works. To succeed, you need a genius to bring genres together to create new worlds, an orchestra to make it happen, and an audience eager to take part in such a unique adventure between melodies. This exciting crossover concert will be performed by the Budapest Philharmonic Society Orchestra and the Sárközy Trio on a light-hearted end-of-summer evening at the end of August.

Lajos Sárközy is a violinist whose entire being is permeated by music, for him melodies and the logic of music are just a light puzzle, and he is one of the few people who is not only well versed in classical music, but also in jazz and folk music.

This evening, the Budapest Philharmonic Society Orchestra will join Lajos Sárközy’s trio on stage to conjure up orchestral works with passion, using reimagined, free improvisational arrangements of classical music. And the audience will discover that the succession of notes in a melody is recoloured by rhythm and harmony, and that any melody can be the basis of jazz, folk or classical music.
