KoreaON Cultural Festival

Are you also fascinated by Korean culture, food and art? Then come to Budapest Hungexpo this weekend, where you can enjoy a wide range of programmes, lectures and workshops! These two days will truly be for Korea lovers!

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the KoreaON cultural festival, with a series of events that is renewed every year. For two full days in May, the Korean Cultural Centre and Hanyou Foundation will offer a taste of the diversity of Korean culture as a guest event at Comic Con. The free events are designed for all ages, so everyone from the youngest to the oldest will find something to enjoy. In addition to the all-day main stage performances, visitors will be able to discover the cultural values of the distant country on an area of nearly 1,500 square metres.
Among the performers, for the first time in our country, we will welcome a true world star, 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐞, the uncrowned ensemble of polyphonic singing without instrumental accompaniment, the acapella genre. As for their repertoire, there is no limit to what they can do. Whether it’s a sound imitation, a current hit or an astonishing noise, they incorporate it perfectly into their entertaining performances with their overwhelming talent.

The main stage will feature a succession of performers and performances from opening to closing. Cooking shows, modern and traditional dance and music performances, taekwondo demonstrations and Korean beauty advice.
The huge exhibition area will also feature traditional craft stalls, family activities, Korean gastronomic experiences, music and dance classes, beauty product demonstrations and an interactive section of Korean companies.
