Funky New Year’s Eve Party

Luxfunk Radio closes the year with a exceptional event at Symbol! On 31 December, guests will enjoy a special five-course dinner and a wonderful celebration. At the Funky Party, fans of the genre can party to the hits of the ’70s and ’80s and the best old school hip-hop/r’n’b of the ’90s and 2000s.

We’ll welcome 2024 with a flashing dance floor, a confetti cannon at midnight, New Year’s Eve treats for dinner guests, and then the party starts until dawn.

“Do You Wanna Get Funky” was the first song of our show on 1 June 2007, a hit by C&C Music Factory. The catchphrase of the party hit Do You Wanna Get Funky has been our defining question ever since.

Before the DJ party, during dinner, a live act will set the mood: Dávid Nádor sings, Gergely Edvárd plays saxophone while Andrew J puts the funk grooves under them. Dávid Nádor is a podium singer on the Voice and X-Factor, a regular on Dancing with the Stars and ‘Csináljuk a fesztivált’ TV shows. He performs covers of Michael Jackson, Bill Whiters, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, George Michael, R Kelly, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, etc. with saxophone accompaniment.
After him, two-time Hungarian DMC champion Andrew J. will be one of the DJs from Luxfunk’s DJ team, and one of Luxfunk’s energy bombs Steelor will be on hand to pick out the funky faces’ favourites together, one by one.
