Between May 1st and September 15th, every evening from 5 PM to 11 PM, Budapest hosts one of its most unique culinary experiences at the Chinatown Terrace. The venue is located at 30 Jegenye Street, District X, inside the courtyard next to the Wan Hao restaurant. Six hours of Asian street food, vibrant night market vibes, and unforgettable flavors await visitors daily, even on national holidays.

The iconic Chinatown Terrace, with its impressive 80-meter-long, 7-meter-wide tent, has become one of Budapest’s most bustling summer hotspots over the years. The expansive area features 120 tables and 12 different food stalls, offering hundreds of authentic Asian dishes: crispy Chinese barbecue, freshly prepared dim sum, wok-fried specialties, exotic drinks, Chinese beer, and refreshing bubble tea. Besides gastronomic adventures, a variety of cultural and entertainment programs will enrich the upcoming months, promising an exciting atmosphere for everyone.

A major change for the 2025 season is that the Terrace has moved approximately 100 meters within the same courtyard. The main entrance remains on Jegenye Street, but visitors should turn left when facing the Wanhao restaurant. For those arriving by car, a large free parking area has been set up at 5 Monori Street, while pedestrians can access the event through a newly opened gate at 19 Mázsa Street, right next to the MOL gas station. Please note that while card payment is accepted at all food stalls, SZÉP cards are not.

The Chinatown Terrace is pet-friendly, warmly welcoming four-legged companions. Visitors also have a chance to win 30,000 HUF in food vouchers by simply posting a photo or video of their visit on Facebook or Instagram, tagging the location @ChinatownBudapest. Participating restaurants include Hello Cake, Happy Panda, Wang Street (by Master Wang), Mao Master Mini Hotpot (by InTown), Yitian, Spicy Fish, Hi Bing, 515 Bistro, Hehe, Hansai (food truck), and Wan Hao. For updated programs and more details, follow the organizers’ social media pages.
