Ceramic Workshop in the Old Market Hall, Bratislava (entrance from Nedbalova Street) invite you and your friends to a basic 4-week educational course for adults or a one-time entry.
What does this one-time admission include?
You will become familiar with clay, either through modeling or wheel throwing techniques. The pieces you create during these two hours will be dried and fired for the first time – bisque firing. Due to the technological “slowness” of the medium, the output of a one-time admission is only a fired piece, ready for glazing.
In the case of a two-part course?
During the first two-hour session, you will model or throw a piece of pottery from clay, according to your own design or that of the instructor, with their professional assistance. After the first firing, the piece will be ready for your second session, where you will finalize it – glazing, engobing, coloring. After the second firing of the glaze, the organizers will hand over the finished pieces to you as agreed, at times when the instructors are in the workshop.
What if you decide to take the whole course?
If you decide to take the whole course, you will smoothly progress through all the basic modeling techniques, learn how to use a potter’s wheel, and have time to glaze all your creations.
