Bródy Song Day

The 2026 Sziget Festival kicks off with a truly special musical event. On 9 August 2026, during the festival’s Day -1, the Main Stage will host Bródy Songs Day, a spectacular tribute celebrating the 80th birthday of János Bródy and honoring more than six decades of his remarkable musical career.

During the nearly six-hour concert, audiences will experience new arrangements of János Bródy’s most iconic songs, performed by artists representing multiple generations of Hungarian music.

What makes this event truly unique is that, for the first time, legendary figures of Hungarian popular music and today’s most celebrated performers will share the stage in a production of this scale. Rather than being a traditional tribute concert, it will be a one-of-a-kind musical experience, with each artist interpreting Bródy’s songs in their own distinctive style.
