Ball of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra

Ball of the Vienna Philharmonic – is one of the most elegant and traditional balls of the Viennese ball season and will take place on January 22, 2026 in the legendary Musikverein. On this evening, the Golden Hall and the other magnificent halls are transformed into a majestic ballroom where guests in festive evening attire come together to dance and celebrate life.

Admission begins at 21:00, the opening at 22:00 – traditionally with a performance by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra – and until around 05:00 the dance floor belongs to the guests, who dance to classical waltzes, polkas and stylish live music. Various orchestras provide musical variety and an atmospheric ambience. A highlight of the ball is the debutante procession, in which young ladies in white dresses and gentlemen in tails ceremoniously open the dance floor.

The sumptuously decorated halls, the large dance floor and the perfect orchestral accompaniment give the ball an almost magical character and combine classicism, elegance and Viennese culture.

Dress code: Evening gowns for ladies, tailcoat or gala uniform for gentlemen. Tickets start at around €220; discounted categories and late-night admission from 00:30 are also available.

The ball offers not only dancing and music, but also the opportunity to enjoy, chat and party until the early hours of the morning – a real highlight of the Viennese carnival season.
