This summer, the historic walls of Vienna’s Minoritenkirche will resonate once again with the sounds of timeless music. From August 14 to 16, 2025, the Vienna Classic Festival invites classical music lovers to three unforgettable evenings.
With performances by the renowned Les Orpheistes Festival Orchestra and internationally acclaimed soloists, the festival will highlight masterpieces from the Viennese classical repertoire – including works by Mozart, Haydn, and Strauss.
The festival opens on August 14 with an intimate cello evening featuring the Rudolf Leopold Cello Quartet performing chamber works by Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, and Bruckner. On August 15 and 16, Les Orpheistes take center stage, presenting Haydn’s Cello Concerto, Mozart’s Symphony in A major, and Strauss’ Capriccio Sextet.
With the church’s exceptional acoustics and mystical Gothic ambiance, each concert promises an immersive and memorable musical experience. Performances begin at 8:00 PM – early arrival is recommended to soak in the atmosphere.
