An evening where the body speaks and the drums tell stories – all in the language of summer and dance. On June 18, 2025, the courtyard of the Virág Benedek House will pulse with the vibrant rhythms and expressive movements of Tahitian culture, as the Manahiti Dancers and Drummers and the students of the Tahiti Dance School bring the heritage of the Pacific Islands to life.
Throughout this unique event, traditional Tahitian drum-based choreography invites the audience on a cultural journey that reaches far beyond music and dance. Every rhythm and movement evokes stories of nature, life, and the freedom of the human spirit. With every step and sway, the performers channel the deep harmony and joyful energy that define the everyday life of Polynesian island communities. This program is a perfect escape from the noise of the city — an invitation to dive into the exotic essence of summer for one unforgettable night.
