Opera launch special edition

On 29 September, the Hungarian House of Music will host the Opera Inauguration, where Dániel Dinnyés will give an exciting lecture on the world of opera. During the evening, the audience will have the chance to learn more about the mysteries of the opera genre, while the artist will use humour and curiosities to make this classical musical form understandable and enjoyable. The successful Opera Inauguration, which has been running for more than ten years under the name of conductor and composer Dániel Dinyés, is now fulfilling a long-standing wish of its creator by offering audiences a one-night-only concert of Schubert, the Romantic composer who created the style of romanticism.
Liszt described Schubert as “the most poetic musician who ever lived”, and his most famous songs include the cycle of songs from The Fair Maid. The concerto tells the story of a love affair in twenty songs, strung together on a single thought, with operatic drama but monodramatic intimacy. What is this thought? How can twenty movements make up one hour? Why did almost all the later Romantic songwriters want to adapt this work?

In this evening, Dániel Dinyés analyses and answers in a manner typical of the Opera Introduction series. His partner in this is Szélpál Szilveszter, one of the most promising artists in Hungarian song singing, who, after operas, also demonstrates his multifaceted talent in this genre.
