On our quest for one of Japan’s soul foods, we recommend Shoyu Ramen, one of Vienna’s most popular ramen restaurants. The décor is fairly plain, perhaps a little frigid, but with the numerous bits and bobs around the restaurant, as well as the nice waiter, you’ll get the sense of ‘omotenashi,’ or Japanese hospitality. Shoyu Ramen offers a total of six noodle-filled broth options. From chicken to seafood to vegan ramen using rice noodles in place of egg noodles… you’ll find it all here…
When you’re really craving ramen, you can upgrade to an XL bowl, but the regular sized bowl is already a generous portion. From drinks, we recommend a wonderful beer mixxed with fresh yuzu extract, to add a little bit of “spice” and Japan to the mix.
